MiramAxe

The Edge MiramAxe backstabbed the Chinese (MonkeyPeaches Exclusive) Its seems that after aquiring the rights for US distrubution of the critcally acclaimed movie Hero, Miramax is going around telling the chinese that they cannot sell the movie. Folks the movie was filmed and released in China two years ago. Its thier movie. Miramax had not planned to release the blockbuster film in the US until Quentin Tarentino threatened the big studio. Now that the film is out it is smashing box-office records. but enough from me... here is Moneypeaches himself. August 14, 2004 Site Blackout Many of you have discovered that this site was down yesterday and when it was finally restored today, purchasing Hero discs through the site have been disabled. This is not an accident, but the direct result of MiramAxe's legal action. Some days ago, the ISP of this site was contacted by MiramAxe who demanded selling of Hero products through the site to be terminated immediately, or a law suit would follow. The ISP then disabled the IP address of this site and would not restore it unless Hero products are removed. MiramAxe and/or its legal representative has never contacted me concerning this matter but rather forced the ISP to backstab this site. Furthermore, MiramAxe does not own all rights to Hero in all countries. It only owns the distribution rights to the film itself in North America, Latin America, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South African, the rest of Africa and Italy. Despite the fact that all products were sold from China directly, not from any of the above countries, to bring the site back as soon as possible, I have suspended selling Hero discs through the site. There are something you might want to know: this site has been continuously promoting Hero for over three years without any support from MiramAxe, even though MiramAxe has being motivating many other sites to do the promotion.

Incidently. This film kicks so much ass your grandmother will be sore!
It takes you on a stunning visual trip and makes you feel what everyone in the film is feeling. Some parts will have you gasping for air, while others will have you clenching your teeth.
The imagery is full of metaphores and hidden meanings.
All in all it is a wondeful film. I whole hardedly recommend getting the FULL chinese version
